A warm welcome to all new readers, and to my regular readers. I trust you all had a wonderful holiday season, and are now formulating new plans, and earnestly looking forward to a brand new shiny happy, healthy and successful New Year. Especially as the word out on the streets by the top spiritual gurus, is that 2008 is to be a much much easier year than 2007 was for remembering and bringing our dearest dreams and desires into life.

This may well have a connection with our approach to the year 2012 and what many predict as the end of the Mayan Calendar. So this thought should, definitely make us all breathe a huge sigh of relief, as I believe that 2007 was a very tough and challenging one for many people, myself included.

So with that good news to spur us on our way, how does the year so far feel to you? To me it feels like like an extra turbo jet engine was attached whilst I slept on the night of 31stDec’07, as I somehow feel a good bit more powerful, and my energy boosted. And whilst I am hoping that this feeling of extra life energy will be enduring, just in case, and whilst my jets are spinning, I am intending to make good use of this extra life capacity; for there really is nothing that we cannot achieve if only we could truly believe in ourselves and our abilities.

We each of us have an incredible power, and an individual genius in some special aspect of our lives, if only we could locate this within ourselves. And maybe instead of expecting everyone we meet to fall in love with us, we should make 2008 the year we truly fall in love with ourselves; the year we really learn to believe in and respect ourselves and to begin to trust that indeed everything is possible in this world.

Albert Einstein believed ‘Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.’ So what can we imagine for ourselves this year - how adventurous will be in this imagining of our lives? Have you got a dream or two, whether big or small, that you have kept buried somewhere deep within your mind? How about digging it out now and finding ways of how it can be achieved? Or will we continue to stay within the box, within the familiar comfort zones, places where maybe you felt safe, but your spirit definitely didn’t.

Some of these zones absolutely no longer work for us - in fact haven’t worked for us for ages, yet we remain safe in the mere familiarity of our stalemates, resolutely shipwrecked, and clinging on for dear life! But believe you can’t and you most certainly won’t; however, if in this turbo-charged year if you can believe that you can, then the Gods seemed to have deemed, that you are now in with a greater chance of finally reclaiming those buried dreams.

But before we wipe away all traces of 2007, let us take some time to consider. As challenging as I and the majority of my clients and friends have found it, I can honestly say that 2007 was one of considerable sorting, preparation and building. Many aspects of our lives pushed themselves uninvited up to the forefront of our minds for urgent review, the majority of which we had tried to ignore and pretend were nonexistent. They would be buried no longer, became entirely non-negotiable, and let us know in sometimes quite violent and turbulent ways that this was the time - now or never - to sort them out once and for all.

And as we sorted them out it became clear to us, why we had preferred to let them lie buried in the first place. In sorting them out, we would have to change - possibly even become very different people! How would this work - how would it affect our position in the world, our relationships at home and at work and the outside world? It was abject fear that had kept us tied to the spot, unable to move on or progress. And with this gripping fear had come the terrible dampening of our playful and loving spirits.

The dreadful truth is that the majority of us have felt detached ourselves, and so forgotten our precious spirits in the past. However there is no necessity to go back into the past or our childhoods to rediscover our spirits that we thought we had lost. With 2012 looming, now may be the ideal time for us to truly rediscover our spirits - those spirits that had been idly waiting for us on those new paths we have now chosen to take.

We can never wholly detach from our spirits - it merely feels like that due to the many and varied difficult paths we chose in the past to take. Our spirits are never behind us - they are in fact way ahead of us having already made their choices. All that is necessary now is that we make ours, identify our paths from any number of a million paths, and that we are reacquainted with our precious spirits and back whole together again.

And as we step onto this part, whether eagerly or even with some trepidation at first, it feels finally like we are now in touch with our souls, as it is only really in our spirits where meaning truly lies.

And so does that mean that it is plain sailing from here on in? Well no - so get over yourselves! The new paths will take us up and down - around calm and serene corners, amazing bends, on wild adventures that may amaze or shock us and leave us almost breathless. We will say yes to every turn and dip on the path, riding each one equally, the good and the bad, knowing full well that this is all small stuff, compared to the big picture of what our soul is really on this earth at this time to accomplish.

So will taking our hands off the wheel and surrendering to the moment be easy? In fact it will probably be anything but certain - however -  it will and can be both exciting and surprising. If we continue to constantly engage with out spirits we will not go far wrong. We may even be able to recreate ourselves and raise our soul vibration, with a freedom and a capacity to become the people we truly are - no longer separated - instead with a deeper connection to ourselves, everyone and everything in our universe.

And so I urge you to remember and appreciate all the gifts that each of you brings to this world, and remind you to continue to be grateful for all the small and big abundances in our lives, as we look forward at the start of the year to manifesting some of our overdue and long-held dreams.
