Remember To Celebrate The Autumn Equinox 2010

by Kaye

The joy of moving from the centre of London to the depths of the country, and more to the point living on a farm, has brought me face to face with nature on so many levels.  As well, since becoming aware of the importance of the celebration of the seasons through Machaelle Small Wright’s Perelandra Garden Workbooks I & II, I now always take the time to be in tune with, and to celebrate the changing of the seasons. Tomorrow Thursday 23rd September’10 at 4:09 a.m British Standard Time is the moment to do this, as we celebrate the Autumn Equinox.

Machaelle tells us that ‘In nature, this is the new year, the day that begins the next year’s cycle. It is the day when the call goes out for the new cycle to activate and begin its formation processes on the deepest of energy levels’.  I will also be following Machaelle’s example of lighting a candle at that time – so yes, before I go to bed tonight, I will be putting out a fresh candle & matches on my bedroom window sill, setting my alarm, ready to light the candle at 4:09 a.m. sharp.

Machaelle tells us that at the time of the Autumn Equinox, ‘there is a strong release and surge of dynamic energy within the forces of nature at this precise time that is above and beyond the energy of the day itself’.  I also take another tip out of her excellent book, of calling in the next step in my own evolutionary process.   She explains that she has ‘learned from nature that all that exists on planet earth is grounded fully and completely in form and physical action through the energy of nature’  - ‘and that energy commingles with the human dynamics of thought and creativity and serves to fuse into these dynamics the matter, means and action necessary for grounding’.  All completely fascinating stuff if you are into working with Energy!
